CERTUM – Certification Authority was set up on December 15, 1998 as an organizational unit of Unizeto Technologies SA to provide certification services related to electronic signature. It is the oldest and the largest public certification authority in Poland, operating on a worldwide scale – rendering services to clients from several dozen countries. The company is located in Szczecin, in the Unizeto Services Center, a modern special facility providing CERTUM infrastructure and systems with a uniquely high level of electronic, mechanical and access security, as well as business continuity. The CERTUM systems that require special protection are located in special security zones, e.g. a sample generator for cryptographic keys is placed in the electromagnetic/tempest-proof chamber, ensuring the security of sensitive data, and protecting them against secondary emissions.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]

|WebNotarius||Time stamp||ID Certificates|
In 2002 CERTUM was entered by the Minister of Economy into the register of qualified entities providing certification services, kept by the National Certification Center (www.nccert.pl). As the only Polish certification authority, it has been on the list of trustworthy certification authorities since 2002, with seals for all services connected with electronic signature: WebTrust seal for qualified services and certificates, WebTrust seal for standard services and certificates (non-qualified), and as of January 2010, also WebTrust Extended Validation seal for EV SSl certificates.
WebTrust and WebTrust Extended Validation are a set of standards created together with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), as well as its Canadian counterpart – the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA). These are sets of essential “good practices” with respect to on-line activities related to the safety of information. The WebTrust and WebTrust Extended Validation seals are placed on a website in order to inform clients about certain standards obtained with respect to Internet security, confidentiality of the processed data, and safety of operations related to electronic communication and trade.
The WebTrust certificates constitute a guarantee for clients that websites chosen in order to perform economic transactions ensure a high level of security, and that certificates issued by CERTUM – the only certification authority in Poland – are recognized as trustworthy all over the world; among other things, by all popular web browsers and Microsoft products.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text]
